The passkey is required to exit kiosk mode as a security measure to prevent your onboardees from exiting it and gaining access to all of your personnel files in your WorkBright account.
Kiosk Mode is primarily designed to streamline onboarding processes by restricting access to sensitive information while allowing onboardees to complete necessary tasks.
Note: The kiosk mode passkey is not the same as your WorkBright login password. The two serve different purposes, and knowing this distinction can help avoid confusion.
If you find yourself unable to exit Kiosk Mode, consider several scenarios, such as a forgotten passkey or confusion between the passkey and your login password. Follow the steps below based on your situation:
Step 1: Either open a Different Browser or an “Incognito” or “Private Browsing” tab, then go to your WorkBright log-in page or https://app.workbright.com/:
Then log in, visit the “Settings” tab, view the Passkey by clicking on "Kiosk Mode" in the lower right, and return to your original tab to exit Kiosk Mode.
If no one on your team has admin access, you will need to contact WorkBright support for further assistance.
The example above shows a Google Chrome Browser. In Chrome, an “Incognito” tab doesn’t carry over any password history, cookies, or other data, allowing you to log in from scratch.
If you are using a different browser, ensure it supports private browsing functionality to access WorkBright settings.
In Firefox, the same functionality is called a “Private” tab
On Microsoft Edge, it’s called an InPrivate tab
On Safari, it’s called a Private tab
