Admin Audit Log

How can I track changes and who made them in WorkBright

With the Audit Log, you can now see changes made in WorkBright on a single page. In addition to having all this information in one place, you can search and filter it to get more refined results.

Note: This is available only to full admins; restricted admins with policies cannot access this feature.

Where to find the Audit Log

You will find the Audit Log in your navigation bar at the top of your screen.

On this page, you will see two primary sections: the Filters and the Log.

Note: If there is nothing populated, you can click “Run Report” in the filter section to populate the Log.

Using the Audit Log.

Until filtered, the Audit Log will show all in-scope actions made on your account. To refine your results, you can use one or more of the following filters to get a clearer picture of what you are looking for.

Note: You can use all of the filter options together, individually, or in combination depending on your need or use case.

Let's go over each option.

Admin name OR email.

This will refine the results to include one or more admins who have taken an action on an in-scope activity on the account.

You just need to start typing a name or email address, and it will prompt you to select the correct user from a list below.

Note: The list will include all users in your account, including admins and staff.

Search audit log by staff impacted

In this section, you can search for a single staff member who has been updated in the system, and it will display a list of all changes made within scope, including the timestamp, admin, and action.

Search audit log by date range

The date range lets you see actions taken within a period, from a start time to an end time, based on the date(s) you enter in the field. You can also use just the From field to search for all actions after that date or use the To field to see actions taken up to that specific date.

Both the From and To fields have a drop-down calendar you can use, or you can enter the date in the format MM/DD/YYYY.

Exporting your Results

If you need to export the results from the audit log, you can do so by clicking on the “Export CSV” button in the top right corner of the Log. The export will show the results of the current report; if you used filters when you ran the report, the export will show that specific information.

Note on timestamps in the export: the timestamp is in the company timezone; the UI timestamp is based on the browser timezone

Admin Audit Log Vs Form I-9 Audit Log

Although these features appear comparable, they serve distinct purposes and reside in separate areas of WorkBright.

  • Admin Audit Log operates globally across your entire system. It provides a centralized view of every administrative modification covered in your account, regardless of the worker or document involved. You can access it via the top navigation bar (outlined above).

  • I-9 / E-Verify Audit Log functions at the individual record level, tracking historical activity for a specific I-9 document or E-Verify record. To review I-9 activity, navigate to the I-9 forms section inside a team member's profile or through Onboarding. For E-Verify event history, view the specific case within the E-Verify Cases section.

What gets logged

  • The Admin Audit Log records administrator actions divided into five main areas: Staff (including adding profiles, editing details, toggling status, adjusting employment dates, field updates, or modifying Skip E-Verify settings), Admins (creating admins or promoting users), Forms (accepting, rejecting, requesting re-submissions, signing/editing Form I-9, remote reverification, and Supplement B completions), E-Verify (data confirmation, photo matching, scanning/uploading, and case referrals or closures), alongside Downloads (bulk form exports and report generation). Every record captures a date-time entry, the relevant administrator, and specific action details.

  • I-9 Audit Events record each stage of a document's progress, capturing exact dates, times, and worker-related information. E-Verify Audit Events record every status shift during case processing, noting timestamps and whether an administrator intervened. Consult the I-9 Audit Event Glossary guide for detailed descriptions of each activity type.
